Well, now that we say farewell to another November, we look back on a triumphant period for the Hilonesome Band.  We enjoyed a tremendous night at McCabe's for our third concert there, with so many of our great friends there in the packed house!  Our friends Jeni and Billy from Nashville were in town recording a new album and they were able to join us, which was a grand reunion!  We saw many friends who have followed us to every concert and some who had never seen our work before.  It was a fantastic night and we're still thanking Lincoln and Wayne and Micky and everyone at McCabe's for their support and for having us back.

Now we're looking forward to a lovely holiday month and into next year.  We have only two more shows for this year (see our calendar below), and we're happy to return to Fiddler's Crossing up in the lovely mountains of Tehachapi, and our return to the Coffee Gallery for a Pearl Harbor Day concert.

Also, as you can see from the above poster, we're going to be starting a once-monthly residence at the Coffee Gallery Backstage through April, a "first Friday" series called The Woodshed Sessions in which we debut brand new songs from our resident composer Rob Carlson and others, and also feature other Southern California singer/songwriters, bringing us their brand new songs they're working on.  So each month will bring a totally new show to the boards there so we hope you'll join us.  We have a stellar line up for our first run of First Fridays:

January 3rd is the brilliant Shaun Cromwell,
February 7th is the equally brilliant Ernest Troost,
March 7th we welcome the wonderful Tracy Newman and
April 4th we are so pleased to have the great Fur Dixon with us.

Make plans to join us for this brand new series!

Also in January I'm producing a benefit for the FAR-West Regional Folk Alliance to benefit the Howard Larman Scholarship Fund.  The poster is below and I hope you'll join us for that - also wonderful Southern California folk artists on the bill there.

There's lots more in the pipeline friends, so stay tuned!

We send you and your families all the best for the holiday season, and hopes for a very health, happy and prosperous New Year!

Blessings and love,

The Hilonesome Band ~
Susie, Mark Indictor, Rob Carlson, Steve Rankin and Fred Sanders
